Who is responsible?
MyDrop Tracker is provided by Darren Turner. For privacy questions or requests, email Darren@mydroptracker.co.uk. Darren is responsible for personal information received through support enquiries and the operation of this website.
Your app records
MyDrop stores the route information you enter, including dates, shift patterns, route times, drops, mileage, weights and notes. It also stores your preferences, optional pay settings and shift templates. These are held in the app’s storage on your device. MyDrop does not send this route database to a MyDrop server.
The app does not require an account and has no advertising or third-party analytics integration. It does not request Health data, steps, heart rate or GPS location. Enter mileage manually. Avoid recording customer names, delivery addresses or other people’s personal information in notes.
Optional Apple Calendar access
If you grant permission, MyDrop uses Apple Calendar to read and manage supported work events and show your working week. Calendar information may include event titles, dates, times and other event details used to recognise shifts. Relevant shift hours can be used for pay estimates.
You can decline or revoke access through iPhone Settings. Route recording still works without it. Events stored in a calendar account may sync through Apple or your chosen calendar provider under that provider’s terms and privacy policy.
Backups and data retention
Route records remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app. MyDrop keeps up to 30 different automatic on-device backups, plus protected restore-safety copies where needed. Deleting a record from the current view does not necessarily remove it from older backups.
If you save a backup to Files, iCloud Drive or another service, that copy remains in the location you chose until you remove it. Your device’s own backup settings may also include app data. Those services operate under their own policies. MyDrop backups include route data and settings, but not Apple Calendar events.
Some older app versions may have stored legacy fields that the current app no longer uses. Existing backup files or local recovery copies may retain that historical information; the current app does not request new Health data.
Exports and sharing
You can export records as CSV, save a backup or copy a summary for use elsewhere. The app’s copy/share actions do not automatically send information to ChatGPT or another AI service. Information leaves your control only when you choose a destination, paste it or share a file. Check its contents before sharing. The receiving service’s privacy policy then applies.
When you contact support
If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to answer your enquiry and investigate the issue, relying on our legitimate interests in providing support and maintaining the app.
Support correspondence is kept only for as long as needed to resolve the enquiry, handle related follow-up and meet any applicable legal obligations. Please send only the information needed. We do not need your full route history for a general support question.
Email and website service providers process the information necessary to deliver their services. Their infrastructure may process information outside the UK; their applicable privacy terms and transfer safeguards govern that processing.
This website
The website does not include advertising trackers, behavioural analytics or a mailing-list form. Its hosting service processes technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser information, to deliver and secure the site. Hosting-level access controls may use necessary cookies or sign-in information. These are separate from the iPhone app, which does not require an account.
Your choices and rights
You can edit and delete route records in the app, export a copy, manage your backup files and change Calendar permission in iPhone Settings. We cannot access or remotely recover your local route database.
For personal information we hold, such as support messages, you may have rights to access, correct or erase it, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and obtain a portable copy where applicable. Email Darren to make a request. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if MyDrop’s data practices change, with the revised date shown above. Material changes will be reflected in the app or release information as appropriate.
